Pitching development with a plan

More than showing up and throwing a bullpen.

Private pitching lessons should connect each session to an individual development plan. We work to build a strong, sustainable pitching motion, improve command, understand how each pitch moves, develop an effective arsenal, and teach pitchers why and when to use what they have.

Depending on the package, development continues between sessions through video analysis, assigned drills, coach communication, Command, and Pocket Pitcher.

The goal is not simply to throw more. The goal is to understand your pitching.

Hitting development without the clutter

Hitting does not need to be overcomplicated.

A swing is the result of a few parts of the body working together at the right time. My job is not to bury a hitter in terminology. It is to help those pieces work in harmony and develop a swing and approach the player can repeat.

I want hitters walking to the plate believing they can get a hit every time up—not because hitting is easy, but because preparation, repetition, skill, and confidence give them a reason to believe it.

Meet Coach Joshua Guptel

Too much coaching.
Not enough teaching.

My coaching journey began in 2000 when my oldest son started playing tee ball. Since then, I have spent more than two decades working with players across multiple levels of baseball while continuing to study player development, analytics, and how athletes learn.

Whether we are working on the mound or in the box, I want athletes to understand what they are doing, why they are doing it, and how to identify what needs to change when something goes wrong.
